All things teddy bear!
All of our teddy bears are hand made from the best materials for the discerning collector. Sorry, but they are not suitable for children to play with.
We can make any teddy bear in just about any fabric (even your own for memory bears) any colour and any size, so please ask if you cannot see what you want.
If you have an old cherrished bear in need of some tlc or major repair, we can help. Simply send some photographs of the overall bear and specific areas of damage and we can give you and estimate of the repair cost. Send your photographs to teddybears@teddybearstudio.co.uk or by WhatsApp to 07496320782.
Thank you, Elizabeth and Andrew

At Teddy Bear Studio, we're passionate about Teddy Bears, it goes with the name! Whilst we are a new company (we turned 1 in February 2025) we make sure every one of our traditional teddy bears is made to our very exacting standards so you are sure of receiving the highest quality item.
All of our original teddy bears are made entirely by hand. smaller bears are hand stitched, larger bears and clothes are made, at least in part, on our 102 year old Singer treddle and vintage Brother hand powered sewing machines but also include a lot of hand stitching and finishing.
But we don't stop there. We have some modern manufacturing processes with dye sublimation printing for things like mugs and fabric items such as cross stitch kits and teddy tee shirts, and normal printing for greetings cards. Coming soon will be hand finished 3D printed accessories for some of our range of mini bears as well as teddy bear outfits for our mini bears.
Whatever you are looking for, that is teddy bear related, you can be sure we will give every attention to detail, whether it is from our standard range or a completely custom design. We also offer a Teddy Bear Hospital for all your old bear (and other stuffed animal) repairs. Whether your old friend needs restuffing, new paw pads, new eyes, seams and joints work or almost anything else other than fur replacement, we can almost certainly help you.
Visitors are welcome to visit us at our home based studio in Redditch by appointment only. We are owned and operated by father and daughter team Andrew and Elizabeth who are also carers for Elizabeth's Mum who has a form of blood cancer and has had a stroke and now has developed epilepsy caused by other treatments: we are not able to guarantee our hours and may need to open late, close early and on occasion may not be open due to hospital visits and other care requirements (we do try to keep this to a minimum). We apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused, hence the appointment only requirement which saves you a wasted journey.
We recently made a memory bear for a 7 year old girl who's mummy has sadly passed away. It was ordered by a friend of the family and made from a cardigan belonging to her mummy, plus the left overs turned into a cushion for her daddy. Here is what our client, Sarah C has said in a review on Yell:
Highly recommended *****
Never has it been easier to give a 5star rating. From my first conversation I knew I was in safe hands for a very valuable garment to be transformed into a memory bear. Communication was fabulous throughout with plenty of updates. Very timely, carefully sent and most of all perfectly made.
Gillian B purchased a large baby flower dragon from our now closed Jinney Ring studio and said:

Lovely company, great communication and a stunning product.
Brilliant service from seeing Dragon in the window to photo follow ups to the postage,
Both reviews are live on yell.com

Thank you to everyone who leaves a review, reviews are always welcome and help us to develop as a company in so many ways.
We offer a wide range of items all teddy bear related.
Our traditional teddy bears are completely hand made by Elizabeth, most are hand cut and sewn but a few larger seams may be sewn on our 102 year old Singer sewing machine.
Only the best fabrics are used, from high quality acrylic furs to natural fabrics such as mohair and angora. Paw pads are usualy wool felt but can be tweed, fur or one of several leathers. Eyes are always traditional glass eyes which can be hand tinted to any required colour, but if the bear is of a younger age, we can use modern safety eyes. Faces can utilise glass and plastic noses or are hand embroidered or fabric such as leather or felt patch sewn on.. Whilst we have a standard range of teddy bear designs, we offer a bespoke service where we can design one specially for you, embroider a name or create any bear to almost any size and from any fabric or colour. If you provide suitable fabrics we can also make the increasingly popular memory bears: a recent one was made 3 feet tall from an ambulance uniform.
Our products don't end with the teddy bear itself, we make clothes for teddy bears and can produce most garments any fashionable bear might want. We are currently planning a range of historically dressed bears but this may take some time to be ready for selling so please keep coming back for details (why not email your details so we can keep you informed as these become ready, or let us know which historic character you might be interested in).
While Elizabeth makes the Teddy Bears, Dad Andrew creates other items. Mugs can be printed to any design you want; we have a standard range of designs, all of which can be customised with any name you want, but we can create designs specially for you, just email us with your requirements. Greetings cards are also available with the same designs and all completely customisable with names, messages and ages etc. Why not combine a mug, and card for that complete matching gift? Better still, add a matching teddy bear (all cards can be made to match your chosen bear). Or why not have a go at making your own teddy bear with one of our patterns or complete teddy bear kits?
Whilst our teddy bears are intended for collectors (they are not toys), we offer a range of pre made teddy bears that are certified child safe and can be printed with names, pictures and messages if required. They wear tee shirts and the tee shirt takes the printing. We can offer a range of sizes including a small key ring teddy bear for this Print a Bear range.
Our range is increasing all the time so be sure to bokmark our site and come back regularly to see what is new.
Would you like to be added to our newsletter mailing list to get teddy bear related facts, care tips, news of our new products etc.? Send us your email address and we will add you to the list.
We can restore life to your old well loved bears. Our Teddy Bear Hospital accepts bears of most types of teddy bears and other stuffed friends (not dolls) and can extend the life of your best friend that needs a little TLC.
We accept bears in person at our home studio studio or by post. If posting, be sure to contact us first with photographs and as much detail of the bear and your requirements as possible. There are some bears we may not be able to work on and this may only be evident upon receipt of the bear; in such circumstances, you will be responsible for return postage costs.
Repairs are never started without your approval and all costs and material details will be itemised for you. You will find a guide price list in the Teddy Bear Hospital section of this web site but this is a guide only and prices will vary according to the type, size, age, material and condition of the bear.
If your bear has lost its fur, this cannot be replaced. Bears can however be restuffed*, have joints fixed, eyes replaced, faces embroidered, seams resewn, growlers, music boxes and squeakers replaced and so on. If in any doubt email teddybears@teddybearstudio.co.uk and ask.
We no longer clean any teddy bears as the time it takes is considerable and often will cost hundreds of pounds because of this. Cleaning is very easy but very time consuming. Never wash your bear in the washing machine, never get the fabric or stuffing wet. We recommend using the suds from unscented Eucalan gentle washing detergent or a mild baby shampoo. Get the suds onto a soft face flannel and gently roll it over the fur: do not rub or scrub as this can remove the fur. If the fabric feels wet, stop and leave to dry before continuing. It is easily done in front of the TV at night!
If we find a bear is infested with insects such as moth larvae, we will treat the infestation at extra cost. This will take about 1 month and will involve moth papers and the bear being sealed in a plastic bag for this duration. This will kill any insects and eggs as it is over the reprouctive cycle. If you suspect your bear is infected please treat it before sending/bringing it to us as this could infect other bears of ours or our clients. Never be tempted to wrap the bear in plastic and put in the freezer: this can damage the fabric and some wood wool based stuffing.
*Some bears from the 1960's and 70's are stuffed with shredded foam, one example is Wendy Boston bears. This foam breaks down and becomes dust which is highly toxic. We do repair these types of teddy bear but will not use the same foam stuffing: will replace this with modern safe polyester fibre stuffing. These bears must be treated with great care due to the toxicity of the foam stuffing; your bear will be carefully opened and all dust removed safely before careful washing (we try to remove all traces of the original stuffing but cannot guarantee to remove every speck of foam dust). Safe disposal of the foam remnants will need to be made to prevent it entering the environment. As such we charge a premium for this dependant on the condition of the foam stuffing. If your foam filled bear feels like it has sand or hard clumps inside, the chances are it is stuffed with foam that has started to break down and should be treated with care.
